- Sets the acidic gastric juice (about 2 pH value) by the enzyme renin and pepsin works best in acidic conditions in the stomach.

Provides an acid environment for digestion to occur. Hydrochloric acid is a strong acid when the stomach is empty, it will act on the mucosa of the stomach ... Cause pain.
